⚖️ Elyos or Asmodians — Which Faction to Choose in Aion

Aion has two warring factions — the radiant Elyos and the dark Asmodians. The choice barely affects gameplay: both sides share the same 10 classes, the same rates and access to the very same endgame. The real differences are the visual style, the starting zones (Eltnen and the Abyss for Elyos, Morheim for Asmodians) and character looks.

What your faction truly decides is PvP and sieges. Enemy-faction players fight in the open world, in the Abyss and at fortresses. So it is more convenient to play the side where most of your friends are and where the online population is livelier right now — it is easier to find a group and a legion. The faction balance is shown right on the website's home page.

Beginner tip: pick your faction for two reasons — where your friends play, and which looks/animations you prefer. It will not affect your character's mechanics or power. And the Pioneer Reward, VIP x5 and the starter booster are granted equally to players of both sides. ⚔️
