🌌 Abyss Guide — PvP, Abyss Points and Ranks

The Abyss is a realm of floating islands and Aion's main PvP zone, where Elyos and Asmodians fight each other and the Balaur. Killing enemy players earns Abyss Points (AP), which raise your Abyss rank — from a 9th-grade Soldier up to Star and beyond. The higher the rank, the more prestigious the title and the stronger the gear you can buy.

AP is the endgame PvP currency: it buys abyssal armor and weapons, consumables and upgrades. You can lose AP when killed by an enemy player, so the Abyss rewards careful, coordinated groups. It also holds the fortresses and artifacts whose control grants faction-wide bonuses.

A beginner should fly to the Abyss for fast AP gains in a group and a first set of PvP gear. Note: flying in the Abyss takes skill — anyone knocked out of the air falls. Level up your flight, bring flight-speed consumables and stick close to allies. ⚔️
