🚀 Access from Russia and beyond: our VPNGame partnership

For months some players could not get into the game — not because of a ban, and not because anything was broken on our side: the login went through, the character list opened, and then entering the world produced an authorization error. Today that story has a proper fix: we have partnered with VPNGame.

WHY IT HAPPENED

The Aion client keeps two separate connections: one to the login server, one to the game server. With a number of ISPs the first went through and the second did not. Hence the misleading picture: you see your characters, so the server clearly works, yet the world will not let you in. A batch file, a hosts edit or a different mirror could not help — those change the website and download addresses, while the game channel goes straight out.

WHAT WE DID

We partnered with VPNGame, a service that tunnels the traffic of one specific game rather than your whole computer. Our server has already been added to their game list as its own entry: «AION GGWP (aion-ggwp.online)». That means you configure nothing — no addresses, no ports; the profile is ready on their side.

FIVE STEPS TO GET IN

1) Download the VPNGame client: https://vpngame.online/?rl=NjYwMzEw

2) Install it and open the Games tab.

3) Find «AION GGWP (aion-ggwp.online)» in the list.

4) Pick a location and press Connect. Poland-Warsaw is closest to our server, then Germany-Frankfurt; the rest work too, the ping is simply higher.

5) Launch the game as usual through our launcher. Nothing else to switch on.

WORTH KNOWING

Only the game client goes through the tunnel. Your browser, torrents, work traffic and everything else keep going out directly — your internet speed is not throttled, and the tunnel is only active while you play.

The service is paid and the money goes to VPNGame: from 9 ₽ per day, monthly plans available, refund within 7 days. We take nothing for this.

If the website or the launcher will not open for you either, that is a separate matter — there is a Russian mirror at aion-ggwp.ru and a torrent distribution of the client.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

Write to support on the site or in Discord, and please include your character name and the rough time of the attempt. We can see logins in the logs and can almost always tell exactly where it broke: at the login, on the game channel, or already in the world.
